Senior Squad

The aim of Cheshire County Badminton Senior Squad is to provide a positive environment enabling players of all ages and mixed abilities to reach their maximum potential and to proudly represent their county in Badminton England tournaments at the highest possible level.

The squad meets for training sessions during the season and there are two county run tournaments; Cheshire Restricted and Cheshire Open, which we encourage players to enter to both support their county and to put themselves forward for selection on the teams.

There are three teams competing in the Badminton England Inter County Championships (ICC) for which you can find details on the Badminton England website. Currently Cheshire are represented in the Premier, 2^nd and 5^th divisions. The Premier division is split into A and B sections and games are played over three weekends per season at central locations. The 1^st – 5^th divisions are separated into regionalised sections and games are played across the season at each counties home venue.

Our home venue is Cheshire County Sports Club at Plas Newton Lane, Chester, CH2 1PR and our training and matches are generally played on a Sunday afternoon.
