As is the custom, several Awards were made to Council /League members at the Cheshire Badminton AGM for Season 2009/2010, which took place in the Boardroom of the County Officers Club on 8th June 2010

The English Badminton Award was presented to Cheshire CBA President Roger Cash by Badminton England Vice President Bill Andrew.  The citation is “for long standing exceptional service to badminton in England.”    Roger has been on Council for over 40 years and has served the Chester League for a considerably longer spell.

 

A surprise gift was presented to David Spencer by CCBA Chairman , Roger Ewing for his special contribution during the season.  David has three major roles within the County and the Chairman thanked him for his exceptional commitment.

 

 

 

 

The winner of the Marjorie Bryce-Smith Trophy, selected from League nominations, goes to an all round contributor to the game and is judged under a number of categories.   This year the President Roger Cash presented the silver cup to the Wirral League nominee, Kay Vickers.

 

 

The Arthur Evans Memorial Trophy for services to Cheshire Badminton was presented by Vice President, Jean Evans, to Derek Bedford who was first appointed to the Council in 1986 during which time he has been Promotions Secretary,  County Membership Secretary and Editor of the Cheshire Chat.
